The Associated Press recently announced that honey, heralded through time as powerful antibiotic, is making a scene in mainstream medicine. As doctors and patients (and veterinarians and horses) face fears about creating “supergerms” with the overuse of synthetic antibiotics, the virtues of honey are being rediscovered. The FDA recently approved a honey-based wound medicine. Great news for natural horses and horsemen alike!
